چکیده

We discuss the influence of boundary conditions on the continuum limit of the sixvertex model by deriving a variational principle for the associated height function with arbitrary fixed boundary conditions. We discuss its consequences using the known phase diagram of the six-vertex model. In some particular cases we compute explicitly the corresponding partial differential equations by means of the Bethe Ansatz.

Low Velocity Impact Response of Laminated Composite Truncated Sandwich Conical Shells with Various Boundary Conditions Using Complete Model and GDQ Method

In this paper, the dynamic analysis of the composite sandwich truncated conical shells (STCS) with various boundary conditions subjected to the low velocity impact was studied analytically, based on the higher order sandwich panel theory. The impact was assumed to occur normally over the top face-sheet, and the contact force history was predicted using two solution models of the motion which we...

Determinant formula for the six - vertex model with reflecting end Osamu Tsuchiya

Using the Quantum Inverse Scattering Method for the XXZ model with open boundary conditions, we obtained the determinant formula for the six vertex model with reflecting end. E-mail address: [email protected] 1 1 Introducntion Determinant representations of correlation functions of one dimensional quantum integrable models were studied extensively[1]. Exact solution and interfacial tension of the six-vertex model with anti-periodic boundary conditions

We consider the six-vertex model with anti-periodic boundary conditions across a finite strip. The row-to-row transfer matrix is diagonalised by the ‘commuting transfer matrices’ method. From the exact solution we obtain an independent derivation of the interfacial tension of the six-vertex model in the anti-ferroelectric phase. The nature of the corresponding integrable boundary condition on t...

Three-dimensional elasticity solution for vibrational analysis of thick continuously graded sandwich plates with different boundary conditions using a two-parameter micromechanical model for agglomeration

An equivalent continuum model based on the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach was employed to estimate the effective constitutive law for an elastic isotropic medium (i.e., the matrix) with oriented straight carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The two-dimensional generalized differential quadrature method was an efficient and accurate numerical tool for discretizing equations of motion and for implementing vari...

Influence of Rotation on Vibration Behavior of a Functionally Graded Moderately Thick Cylindrical Nanoshell Considering Initial Hoop Tension

In this research, the effect of rotation on the free vibration is investigated for the size-dependent cylindrical functionally graded (FG) nanoshell by means of the modified couple stress theory (MCST). MCST is applied to make the design and the analysis of nano actuators and nano sensors more reliable. Here the equations of motion and boundary conditions are derived using minimum potential ene...
